We were in awe when we found that this famous Mecca Umbrella started its initial prototype in Malaysia. It all started at dk Composites.

Here are some info about the Madinah Shading Umbrella

Al-Masjid An-Nabawi Umbrellas, also known as Medina Haram Piazza Shading Umbrellas, stand in the plaza of Al-Masjid an-Nabawi in Medina, Saudi Arabia. These convertible umbrellas provide shade in all four corners, covering an expansive area of 143,000 square meters.

Their purpose is to shield worshipers from the sun’s heat during prayers and to minimize the risk of slipping in the event of rain. Similar structures can be found in mosque squares globally. Al-Masjid An-Nabawi features a total of 250 of these protective umbrellas.

The first prototype of Mecca Umbrella was done by dk Composites in year 1998

We are proud of Malaysian company participation in this International Project

DK Composites is no stranger in the international scene, we are proud of a Malaysian company who can bring this technology to the world from Malaysia. We look forward to more international projects by DK Composites in the future.
