Founded in 2019 by Ar. Hedzril and Ar. Nik, the firm aims to challenge conventional norms and prioritize contextual relevance in their designs. Ar. Nik Amirul Faiz’s main goal is to build a successful architect firm that contributes to the well being of the society through architectural expertise; guided by principles and ethics. As for Ar. Hedzril Jaffar, he believes good design is a basic human right and should be accessible to each strata of a society.
HEDZRIL AND NIK ARCHITECTS sees themselves as architects who create unique pieces and fill the gaps in the built environment. They continuously evolve their design methodology and emphasize collaboration to achieve design excellence and deliver impactful architecture for society.

Expandable House
The design brief for this house focuses on building in two phases to meet current needs and allow for future growth. The concept revolves around a central swimming pool, serving as a focal point that connects the spaces. Open-plan public areas and a strong indoor-outdoor relationship are prioritized. The house features a simple material palette of concrete, bricks, metal roofs, and glass windows, with touches of timber for warmth and coziness.
SR Agama Seri Al-Ain
The design of the school represents a paradigm shift in private Islamic schools, emphasizing green technology and inclusivity. The complex is designed to benefit the local community, offering recreational spaces, gardens, playgrounds, commercial opportunities, and basic amenities. The central courtyard within the “eye”, symbolizing the institution as an Islamic entity, serves as a gathering space. The modular and prefabricated concrete arches of the main school block create a sense of spiritual space, while the circular walkway features a green roof and columns that resemble a forest environment.
