Food Bayana, a visionary initiative led by the Penang State Government and designed by CKHO Architect, aims to address the lack of commercial and F&B establishments in the Free Trade Zone. By filling this gap, the project introduces a dynamic hub that redefines the potential of the region’s economic and social landscape. Its innovative approach establishes a new model for sustainable and functional development in the area.

Proudly developed on a super narrow 15 Meter Wide Site

Situated on a unique 15-meter-wide site, the project overcomes spatial challenges with remarkable ingenuity. What was once a constrained green buffer has been transformed into a vibrant commercial space. This adaptive use of land highlights the creative solutions employed to maximize the potential of limited areas.

Achieving GBI Gold certification, Food Bayana is the first project in the region to reach this prestigious milestone. The design seamlessly incorporates advanced smart robotic systems, reflecting a forward-thinking commitment to technology and efficiency. This integration not only enhances the functionality of the space but also elevates its sustainability credentials.

A key highlight of Food Bayana is Penang’s largest-ever tree transplanting effort, which surrounds the development with abundant greenery. This initiative preserves the area’s natural beauty while contributing to the project’s eco-friendly objectives. The lush landscaping enhances the aesthetic appeal and creates a welcoming environment for visitors.

As the region’s first smart-green food hub, Food Bayana stands as a trailblazer in sustainability, innovation, and modern functionality. Its thoughtful design and groundbreaking features set a new benchmark for future developments, showcasing a harmonious blend of technology, nature, and practicality.
