Many dream of vacationing in a villa on a paradise island, but for these two families, the dream is to live in perpetual vacation mode. Inspired by this vision, architects have crafted a twin villa residential project that brings the essence of tropical paradise for this fortunate family.

Design strategy that provides socialization and privacy

Instead of constructing a single unit to house two families, a unique approach was proposed: crafting two separate units with a shared communal space nestled in between. This design approach not only provides opportunities for social interaction but also ensures privacy for each family, offering the best of both worlds.

Inserting programme into communal space to encourage social interaction

Merely creating an empty plot of land isn’t sufficient to promote social interaction. Thus, the architect included facilities like a pool and a pavilion for tea sessions, catering to family hobbies, to encourage their future utilization and foster a stronger sense of community within the space.

Seamless Integration: Merging Indoor-Outdoor Spaces

The house features expansive folding glass doors and full-length glass doors along the courtyard, seamlessly connecting the interior with the exterior. This design allows occupants to fully appreciate both the surrounding landscape and the interior comforts of the home.

The design ethos of this project is the seamless integration of tropical landscapes, fostering both community and privacy. By maximizing natural features and crafting two separate units with a shared communal space, residents were offered the best of both worlds. This approach ensures that our designs resonate with the beauty of the tropics, creating a harmonious living environment for all.
