WHAT.Design unveils the new meaning of luxury with its showroom concept with OCR Stellar
What is luxury?
When we mention luxury in a space, what comes to mind? Is it the dramatic patterns of marble stone, crystal chandeliers, or French ornamental decor? These elements have defined luxury for decades, but do they still represent luxury today? WHAT Design aims to provide users with an immersive experience of contemporary luxury in a home through a revolutionary showroom.
Creating a calm environment to awaken guests’ senses
Guests are welcomed by a Karesansui Garden at the entrance, creating a zen impression that soothes the mind and promotes relaxation, making them feel comfortable and at ease. Instead of the typical glass and plastic furniture found in most showrooms, the team has chosen wooden furniture and lounge settings to enhance the warm, homey ambiance. This calm environment encourages guests to focus on their senses and appreciate the details around.

Redefining luxury with tranquil elegance
Instead of using slabs of marble and sparkling elements to portray luxury in communal spaces, the team redefines it by creating a serene environment. By incorporating raw stone textures, wood veneers, and greenery, they emphasize tranquility and natural beauty. Meticulous attention to detail adds a delicate, sophisticated touch to the overall experience.

Using showroom to inspire guests to rethink spaces
Rather than reserving corners typically for study areas, WHAT Design encourages guests to reimagine their spatial program. In this instance, the team integrated a tea room and cat playground as a hobby corner, not only continuing the story of this serene ambiance but also inspiring guests to rethink their living routines if they were to reside here.

In redefining the meaning of luxury, quiet elegance has become a hallmark of contemporary style. The blend of dark wood veneers, natural elements, and meticulous attention to detail has been carefully curated to infuse the interior with a sense of quiet elegance, allowing guests to subtly appreciate the refined beauty of the space.
