Crafting the Ultimate Chocolate Experience
Pierre Marcolini, a famous Belgian chocolate brand with stores worldwide, is known for its founder’s passion for sourcing the finest cocoa beans and ingredients to create exquisite chocolate creations. Atelier Meadow drew inspiration from Pierre Marcolini’s brand identity, encapsulated by its motto “from bean to bar.” The store aims to reflect the entire chocolate production process. Every element inside the store connects to this journey, from the natural environment where cocoa beans are sourced to the refining and optimization processes, culminating in the final exquisite creations.
Strategic wall design guides the visitor journey
At the entrance, the gently curved walls were designed to resemble a chocolate canvas, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. This flowing design seamlessly guides visitors through the store, enriching their experience as they embark on a visually captivating journey from the entrance to the innermost parts of the space.
Material selection reflecting Marcolini’s craftsmanship
The materials are divided into two groups: “raw materials,” like raw plaster for the walls, and “refined materials,” such as travertine, stucco, and copper, used for the floor, ceiling, and intricate details. This blend aims to embody Pierre Marcolini’s process of refining raw cocoa beans into exquisite creations.
Matte Walls Meet Shimmering Copper
The store’s intricacies are accentuated by the reflective quality of the copper metal finish, contrasting with the subdued matte surfaces of the walls. Every element, from the chocolate spatula tool to the perforated equipment used to roast cocoa beans, is meticulously integrated into the store’s design.
