Bangsar Residence
In this immensely satisfying project, an original house constructed in the 1970s and once belonging to a prosperous Malay family had fallen into disrepair and become outdated. The design team, aiming to modernize the structure while retaining its original charm, decided to remove the old facade and introduce new structural elements such as a horizontal facade with glass openings and a new roof. The result was a revitalized property that met modern living standards while preserving the essence of its original charm.
Muar Columbarium
Located in Muar, a town with a significant Malaysian Chinese population, this facility houses 20,000 urns and includes five parlors. Its notable feature is a sloping reinforced concrete roof with multiple layers, creating depth and texture. The bamboo facade symbolizes the cycle of life and death. The design aims to offer comfort and tranquility, with spacious and well-lit interiors, providing a peaceful environment for visitors to reflect and find solace.
